The Délégation générale
à la langue française et aux langues
de France was created to promote the French language,
to encourage its diffusion, to assure its use as
a language of international communication, and to
develop multilingualism, the guarantor of cultural
diversity. It stimulates and coordinates action
by the public authorities in favour of these objectives
and implements, with its own means or in cooperation
with other public or private organisations, initiatives
in this direction. It sees to the enforcement of
laws regulating the use of the French language,
and coordinates the development and enrichment of
the language. It contributes to the valorisation
of regional languages and to the study of linguistic
practices. |

| The Accueils des Villes Françaises are
associations adapted to the needs of people of high
personal or professional mobility. They exist in
400 French cities and put a team of volunteers at
the service of each new arrival. 10,000 volunteers
welcome 10,000 new residents, native and international,
every year. Most of their 80,000 members have experienced
similar moments of uprooting. The AVFs inform, welcome,
and encourage encounters between the inhabitants
and newcomers in the city, offering diverse activities. |

| The French Club of Tourism for Youths was created
to promote tourism products to young people under
25 years old. Member associations are divided into
several groups of activities: accommodations dedicated
to youths, inexpensive hotels, language programs,
cultural programs, active vacations, museums, transportation,
and institutional organisations proposing special
offers for youths. Member organisations can be read

as well as other ideas for preparing one's trip
